May is Mental Health Awareness Month


Kids can benefit from yoga, too! “Yoga as an Intervention for the Reduction of Symptoms of Anxiety and Depression in Children and Adolescents: A Systematic Review” is made available by Frontiers in Pediatrics and looks at studies of yoga’s impact on symptoms of anxiety and depression in young yogis. It acknowledges the limitations in the research at the time of publication (March 2020) while providing an extensive list of references helpful for further exploration. With such promising benefits, it's worthwhile to give kids a chance to try yoga and let them see whether they enjoy it.
