Yoga Research: Yoga for Mental Health at Work

May is Mental Health Awareness Month

Feeling anxious, depressed, or burned out at work? You’re not alone. There’s good news, though: An hour of yoga each week may help alleviate symptoms of anxiety and depression at work. Avoiding long-term burnout, though, may require more intervention. If you can’t get an hour of yoga in during your work day, start with small yoga sessions throughout the week. Try fitting ten minutes of quiet stretching into your work day or when work wraps up, then build from there at a pace that fits you. It’s a small step towards avoiding burnout and building a healthy habit.
